A BETTER CLEAN

NORTHLAND

WATER BLASTING / CHEMCLEANING

Phone Steve & Gwen on 0220655004

Rather than just water blast a place to clean it up, we usually do what is called "Chemclean"

We first chemically treat the place to loosen the dirt and kill any algae, then we blast it all off at a lower pressure so as to avoid damage to paint and so on.

If someone were to just water-blast a place to clean it up, it can take a lot more concentrated pressure to remove dirt and algae, and that can remove paint and even put holes in timber.

You would find that the "Chemclean" is a much better and safer clean.

For an average 3 bedroom house we clean from under the gutters, over the sofits, down the walls, and the cost is usually between $210 and $280.

Some people get us to clean roofs, decks, paths, driveways & garages. For that we charge per m2.

For a tin roof of an average 3 bedroom house the cost is usually between $270 and $340.

An average house’s walls & eves is 130 square metres.

An average house’s roof is 130 square metres also.

If the customer has wider eves than an average house then we charge extra. Price given for this when we arrive on the job.

Some peoples idea of an average size house differs. We have gone to someone’s "average size house" to find that their lounge is bigger than some other peoples houses.

Decks, driveways, fences, pagolas, roofs etc are charged per square metre.

PAINT PREPARATION

This is a much more labour intensive job where the waterblaster is set with the turbonozzle much closer to the walls and loose paint is lifted off with it.

We still treat with algae killer on this job because it is very important to make sure that all the algae is dead before the paint is applied. You don’t want the paint lifting later.

There’s often paint flying everywhere and making a mess in gardens and on paths when you blast hard like this.

And you still need to sand before painting as there will be a ridge between where the paint has blasted off and where it hasn’t.

An average 3 bedroom home to do like this is usually about $410 to $480 .

For a tin roof of an average 3 bedroom house the cost is $530 to $600.

Painted Wooden Decks $4.10 m2  Plain Wooden Decks $4.10 m2 Decks with bad algae $6.10 m2

Concrete Paths & Driveways $1.60 - $2.60 m2 depending if light or heavy blast.

Painted Walls $3.10 m2

Roofing Iron $4.10 m2 Tiled Roof $4.10 m2 Decramastic Roof $4.10 m2

DISCLAIMER/LIABILITY DISCHARGE

Due to the type of roofing and/or spouting material on your house, it may be possible that the technician may cause damage to it during the process of carrying out the work you may order to be done. e.g. With tiles, there can be cracks or breakage.

With decramastic-type roofs there could be denting or splitting of the roofing material.

Some roofing materials are so thin that even when you walk on the nailed areas where there is support underneath, they still dent or crack.

Some spoutings are well weathered and split or crack when someone climbs a ladder which is placed against it.

We take all care when working on a roof but certain conditions are beyond our control. For example if a roof has slippery areas it is possible to lose one’s footing momentarily and so bring more pressure to bear on the roofing material in an area than we would normally.

It is also possible that there is a fault or pre existing damage in the roofing material which only becomes apparent when someone stands on that particular spot.

We come in good faith to perform a service for you and we are careful with your property but experience has shown that even the most careful person has things happen which are beyond their control.

Should you wish the operator to proceed it is understood that this will be at your own risk, although all practical care will be taken.

You would need to authorise us to proceed with your job understanding that there is a possibility of roofing and/or spouting damage and agree to indemnify us from any and all accidental damage, understanding that all practical care will be taken and that this does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
